Anelo Institute takes music to public schools in Campo Grande

The Anelo Institute started a project that is among the most important created by the institution since its foundation, 22 years ago. It is called “Anelo na Escola”, whose objective is to bring musical performances by artistic groups linked to the Institute to public schools. If available, the presentations may also be accompanied by a lecture on the theme “Music that Transforms”.

Initially, the “Anelo na Escola” project is intended for public educational institutions in the Campo Grande district, in Campinas (SP), the region where the headquarters of the Anelo Institute is located. In the future, the idea is to also take the presentations to the Ouro Verde district, other regions of the city and even to other municipalities.

The presentations, as explained by the founder and general coordinator of Instituto Anelo, Luccas Soares, can take place at the entrance, exit or break of classes, lasting from 30 to 50 minutes. And, it is important to emphasize: at no cost to schools, that is, the events are free. This project, as explained by Luccas Soares, rescues the origins of the Anelo Institute. He recalls that Banda Anelo, formed in the late 1990s by a group of friends from Jardim Florence (Luccas among them) and which resulted in the creation of the Anelo Institute, used to perform in schools in the Campo Grande district.

The Campo Grande region has 97 state schools, 22 municipal schools (five elementary schools and 17 elementary schools) and one federal school. Among the institutions already visited are: Elvira de Pardo Meo Muraro State School; Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP) - Campus Campinas; State School Prof. Carlos Alberto Galhiego; State School Prof. Rosina Frazatto dos Santos; and Antônio Carlos Lehman State School.
