Centro Social Monsenhor Jessé publishes note of repudiation after the murder of four homeless people in Feira de Santana, BA.

Life on the streets is extremely dangerous and cruel, even for those who work to bring dignity to homeless people.

In Feira de Santana, the volunteers and religious of the CSMJ expressed all the sadness they felt when they learned of the death of “Morena” (Brunette in English), one of the Center's assistants, publishing a note of repudiation on social networks, full of emotion and indignation.

She was the fourth homeless person murdered in the first few days of October in the city of Bahia.

Morena had been living on the streets of Feira de Santana for some years. Living with a mental disorder, she didn't get involved in trouble or fights with other residents. And she had a catchphrase, known by everyone at the CSMJ: “Brunette, brunette, brunette... it is, it isn't...”

With the note of repudiation, the coordinator of the Social Center, Sister Mary Sinor, hopes to draw the attention of those responsible for public safety in the city, so that they take steps to guarantee the safety of the homeless population.
