In August, SOMAR celebrated its 15th anniversary! In all this time, there have been many stories of transformation generated by the association, which serves children and young people between the ages of 4 and 20.
In São Paulo, SOMAR operates in Jardim São Luiz, in the southern region of the city, and currently serves around 400 beneficiaries, which represents 36% of the region's children and young people. Even so, there is a waiting list of more than 200 applicants waiting for a place to take part in the activities developed by the association.
Despite not yet being able to reach everyone, SOMAR continues to have an impact on the lives of young people in the region. With a team of committed employees and volunteers who "put on their shirts to make it happen", the beneficiaries and their families are encouraged to believe in themselves and their potential, to be protagonists in their life stories.
